Killing Youth is a brutal drama about a generation that was faced too early with the fact that dreams can be a commodity, and emotions a tool of pressure. The story begins with a group of teenagers enrolled in a gifted program that promises a career and a future, but in reality they are turned into participants in a hidden experiment. They are forced to compete not by knowledge, but by their willingness to betray, break other people's plans and suppress their own conscience for the sake of rating. The main character at first believes that he can go through the system honestly, but quickly realizes that honesty is perceived as weakness. The anime explores themes of bullying, approval dependence, family pressure, and how adults sometimes destroy youth not with anger, but with indifference. The plot keeps the tension through psychological traps, secret rules and moments when friendship turns out to be the only lifeline. At the same time, the series does not turn into despair, it shows that even in a toxic environment you can choose humanity, although this is the most expensive choice. Killing youth leaves behind a heavy aftertaste and a desire to look back on your own school years in order to understand what exactly makes a person an adult.
